The Role
We are looking for an Embedded Intelligence Solutions Engineer to support the deployment of our advanced software solutions for customers in China. This role combines customer-facing technical ownership with strong hands-on expertise in physics-based modeling, machine learning, embedded integration, power electronics, and electric drives control.
Based in Europe, you will act as the main technical interface for Chinese customers across the full project lifecycle, from solution definition and technical alignment to validation, deployment, and commissioning. You will work closely with customers and internal R&D teams to adapt and integrate real-time models and control-oriented software into embedded systems and firmware environments.

What You’ll Do
Act as the main technical contact for Chinese customers during project execution and delivery
Support the deployment of software solutions combining physics-based models, machine learning, and embedded intelligence
Translate customer needs into technical requirements and coordinate execution with internal engineering teams
Contribute to the development, adaptation, calibration, and validation of models for power electronics and electric drive applications
Support the integration of generated models and algorithms into real-time embedded environments, including Simulink, C code, and firmware/control-loop integration
Participate in customer onboarding, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities
Support both pre-sales and post-sales phases with technical presentations, workshops, documentation, and solution follow-up
Help bridge language, cultural, and technical communication between Chinese customers and European engineering teams
Occasionally travel to China for key technical meetings, project milestones, and on-site commissioning
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Native Mandarin Chinese speaker and strong professional English speaker
Valid work authorization for Italy, or eligibility to obtain an EU Blue Card / Italian work permit
Hands-on experience in several of the following areas:
physics-based modeling
machine learning for industrial or engineering applications
power electronics
electric drives/motor control
embedded systems and firmware integration
real-time software or control-loop implementation
Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and engineering data analysis
Good understanding of system integration from model development to deployment in firmware or control environments
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers in a cross-cultural setting
Ability to manage technical discussions independently and drive project execution with internal and external stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience with model calibration, validation, or system identification
Experience with MCU-based deployment, optimization, or embedded code generation
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as CAN or Modbus
Experience with commissioning, field validation, or customer-specific customization
Previous exposure to international projects in automotive, industrial automation, or electrification domains

The Role
Senior Backend & Cloud Platform Engineer (m/f/x)
We are seeking a Senior Backend & Cloud Platform Engineer with strong experience in designing, building, and operating production-grade backend systems and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a solid background in Python backend development, cloud platforms, containerized services, databases, CI/CD, and secure system architecture. You will play a key role in building Newtwen’s first production-grade SaaS backend infrastructure, enabling computational pipelines for geometry processing, mesh generation, model order reduction, calibration workflows, and neural network training.

Key responsibilities
Backend Architecture & Platform Design
Design and implement the production backend services.
System resources tracking.
Collaborate on system architecture decisions across platforms, infrastructure, and product teams.
GCP services maintenance and implementation.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in backend and cloud platform engineering.
Strong experience designing production systems from early-stage architecture.
Solid experience with:
Python backend development (FastAPI or similar frameworks)
Relational databases
Containerization (Docker)
Cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure system design.
Professional proficiency in English.
